You are here. It feels familiar, but something is not right. Someone claimed there was a way out, but all the doors lead inward. The dry jacket leaves a wet imprint on the concrete. You can feel it when you turn your head. You forgot your last sentence. It’s only because you’re looking right now.
In »Someone Left a Jacket«, the deconstruction of musical fragments occurs directly through situational and physical shifts. Ensemble 404 and guests form a group of more than a dozen performers whose spatial actions become compositional interventions. Motifs from pop culture and collective listening expectations are broken and reinterpreted through performative gestures in space. The scenography functions as an apparatus whose rule system governs the performers and throws familiar material into a state of instability.
The work premiered at Blurred Edges Festival 2026 in Hamburg.
