A six-hour individual journey through time to the end of one’s own life. In their new performance installation, the celebrated artist duo SIGNA offers the audience a unique simulation: The Final Year – a six-hour individual time travel to the end of one’s own life. Relatives, staff and the dying find themselves in a nursing home, on a sun-drenched meadow or at the gates of heaven, while the simulation progresses, pauses, circles. Life lines blur. Missed decisions come to consciousness. Longings become lived fantasies that are forgotten the next moment.
Contribution
I developed sound design, audiovisual media, and technical systems for the installation, shaping its sonic environments throughout the work. I also performed within the simulation.
